From seed to farm

How the program works

Four main pillars define this program:
Verified, high-productivity plants

Station 1: Nursery in Río Sereno

The nursery is the source of verified plants that renew and expand the coffee-growing area, with high-productivity genetic material better adapted to climate change.

Technical support on your farm

Station 3 · Grower development

Training sessions, field days, drone-based farm mapping, and precision agriculture, plus specialized support from the engineering team of our partner SMS.

Learning by seeing, not just in theory

Station 2 · Demonstration plots

A space to showcase current growing practices, validate techniques, and promote more efficient systems that help increase productivity.

Inputs without depending on cash flow

Station 4 · Agricultural advance

Producers with a contract can pick up fertilizers and inputs at 6 partner agricultural suppliers, at a better price than retail. The amount is charged when the harvest is delivered — and Café Durán guarantees the purchase of all agreed-upon production.
